British Artist Of The Year!

Last night at the BAFTA / LA Britannia Awards Emily was named British Artist of the Year! Here is what she said about receiving the accolade.

BBC – “To be honoured with something that’s so emblematic of where I’m from is really exciting,” said the 26-year-old.

BIF Award Nomination!

Anthony Hopkins Mentions Emily

Anthony Hopkins has some very nice things to say about Emily since working with her on The Wolf Man!

Emily and John Engaged!

People.com have just announced that Emily and her boyfriend John Krasinski are engaged! A big congratulations to Emily and John, we wish them all the happiness in the world.

The Office star, 29, and actress, 26, who have been dating since November 2008, are engaged, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
“We can confirm that John and Emily are engaged,” says the rep.

The Wolf Man Pushed Back

On Tuesday Universal announced that The Wolf Man will now be released in 2010. The film had an original release date of April 3, 2009, it was then pushed to November 6th and now the new official release date will be February 12, 2010.

The Examiner – Universal’s decision to push back the release date again, as well as The Wolf Man’s film’s noticeable absence from last week’s San Diego Comic-Con, has raised serious concerns. February has long been considered Hollywood’s dumping grounds for bad movies.

BAFTA to honor Emily

Variety is reporting that in November, just before the release of Wolf Man, Emily will be presented with “British Artist of the Year” from BAFTA in Los Angeles.

The British Academy of Film and Television/Los Angeles will honor Emily Blunt as British artist of the year at its annual gala presentation Nov. 5 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in L.A.

Previous winners include Rachel Weisz, Kate Winslet and last year’s recipient, Tilda Swinton.
