New “Edge Of Tomorrow” Trailer

Warner Bros released another trailer of “EdgeOf Tomorrow“. Be sure to watch it below.

London, Paris, & NYC Premiere for ‘EOT’

THR is reporting that Warner Bros has set up 3 premiere for “Edge of Tomorrow“, and all on the same day (May 28)!

The stars of Edge of Tomorrow will race against the clock on an ambitious premiere world tour that will take them to three cities — in one day.

On May 28, Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and director Doug Liman will attend launch events for the Warner Bros. film in three different countries, starting with the London premiere at 7 a.m., celebrating in Paris at 2 p.m. and capping off the festivities in New York City at 10 p.m.

In the film, Cruise plays Major William Cage, an officer with no combat experience who is sent into an essential suicide mission against alien invaders. He is killed within minutes, and is subsequently thrown into a time loop where he must repeatedly relive the same day — continuing to fight until he gets it right, a la Groundhog Day.

The globetrotting plans roughly reflect the plot of the film, which begins as Major Cage is deployed, alongside Blunt’s character, from London to France to war against the aliens.

The final screening of the day, which takes place in New York, begins at 11:59 p.m. — right on the “edge of tomorrow.”

Time’s 100 Most Influential People 2014

The Time’s revealed their 100 Most Influential People of 2014 earlier this week and Emily’s “Sunshine Cleaning” co-star and friend Amy Adams. Emily wrote Amy’s tribute.

The cinematic chameleon
Amy and I properly got to know each other in Albuquerque, N.M., while we were shooting Sunshine Cleaning. One night I was driving us home from a Mexican restaurant. I had just told her I was a great driver. Then, as we were leaving, I put the car in drive — rather than reverse — and drove us into a tree. It was a tap, not a cataclysmic crash. But to Amy, stuff like that is heaven. She just burst out laughing. That’s what I love most about Amy — she’s silly and funny and dirty. And she’s incredibly honest. She’s self-admittedly terrible at small talk and hiding her feelings, which I really admire in an industry full of gush. She’s also spooky-good at her job. There’s a certain mystique about Amy that helps the audience go with her on this chameleon of a career, from Enchanted to The Fighter to American Hustle. And I don’t think she’s discovered her full bag of tricks even yet.

“Edge Of Tomorrow” WonderCon Panel Recap

Emily’s upcoming movie “Edge Of Tomorrow” was part of Warner Bros’ WonderCon panel as we previously reported. Emily did not attend the panel but they showed exclusive footage of the movie. Collider published a recap on their site which you can find below/inside:

It’s mid-April – which means it’s time for a slew of articles covering Anaheim’s WonderCon: aka the mini, nicer, friendlier Comic-Con. I’ll be recapping all the ‘bigger’ panels of the day from Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal and Sony Pictures hopefully in a moderately timely manner.

First up for the day, Warner Brothers previewed their upcoming slate of features starting with Edge Of Tomorrow, the Tom Cruise/Emily Blunt “Groundhog Day meets [insert-your-alien-invasion-film-of-choice-here] mash-up.” Co-star Bill Paxton was on hand to preview some exclusive footage from the upcoming sci-fi flick and offer insight into its making. For a recap of the footage (hint: there were a lot of explosions), hit the jump.

“Edge Of Tomorrow” TV Spot

The first TV spot for “Edge of Tomorrow” was released. The movie opens June 6th in the US and May 30th in the UK.

Emily to star in “Sicario”

Variety is reporting that Emily is in talks for “Sicario”.

Emily Blunt is in talks to star in the thriller “Sicario,” which will be “Prisoners” helmer Denis Villeneuve’s next pic.

Basil Iwanyk, Thad and Trent Luckinbill and Edward McDonnell are set to produce.

Story follows an officer from Tucson, Arizona who travels across the border to Mexico with a pair of mercenaries to track down a drug lord.

Taylor Sheridan penned the script.

Villeneuve will film later this summer, and then follow that up with the sci-fi pic “Story of Your Life,” which has Amy Adams in early talks to star. That will shoot in early 2015.

Blunt has two tentpole pics set to bow this year with Warner Bros: “The Edge of Tomorrow,” also starring Tom Cruise, bowing on June 6, and Disney’s “Into the Woods,” premiering on Christmas Day.

She is repped by CAA.

New “Edge Of Tomorrow” Trailer

Warner Bros released a new trailer of “Edge Of Tomorrow” earlier today. Be sure to watch it below!

Oscar® nominee Tom Cruise (the “Mission: Impossible” films, “Collateral,” “Jerry Maguire”) and Emily Blunt (“The Devil Wears Prada,” “The Adjustment Bureau”) star in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ sci-fi thriller “Edge of Tomorrow,” under the direction of Doug Liman (“The Bourne Identity,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”).

The epic action of “Edge of Tomorrow” unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again.

But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.
