“Arthur Newman” US Trailer

The US trailer for Arthur Newman has been released, check it out below.

Emily eyes Diana role?

The Daily Mail is reporting that Emily is interested in Stephen Evans’ adaption of “Closely Guarded Secret”.

Actress Emily Blunt has been looking at a script based on the memoirs of Diana’s former bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, Closely Guarded Secret. And, say insiders, she likes what she has seen.

Emily, best known for The Devil Wears Prada, won bouquets for her title role in The Young Victoria, on which Sarah, Duchess of York was a producer.

Intriguingly, Emily is understood to have turned down the role of Diana when she was offered it for Caught In Flight, the film about the princess’s love affair with London heart surgeon Hasnat Khan and which now stars Watts. The Wharfe film is being developed by The Madness Of King George producer Stephen Evans.

Ewan McGregor has been widely tipped to play the burly policeman with a script that its makers promise will bring the ‘authentic Diana’ to the big screen, based on the memories of the people who were around her.

‘I know Emily has read the script and she has said she likes it,’ a member of the production tells me.

Emily in “Your Voice In My Head”?

Looks like Emily has another project after “All You Need is Kill”.

A movie adaptation of Emma Forrest’s memoir “Your Voice In My Head” has been in the works for quite some time now. David Yates signed on to direct the film back in December of 2011 with Emma Watson and Stanley Tucci taking the lead roles soon after. But scheduling conflicts caused David Yates to drop out of the project last spring and with Yates out of the picture, looks like Emma Watson is on her way out too.

Stanley Tucci confirmed to Digital Spy that Emma Watson is no longer attached to the film with Emily Blunt having since replaced her. Plans for “Your Voice In My Head” to begin production later this spring remains to be seen as they are still searching for a director to helm the project. “Your Voice In My Head” is a candid tale about screenwriter Emma Forrest’s battle with self-destructive behavior and her life was subsequently saved thanks to sessions with a compassionate therapist (Tucci). Emily Blunt taking over for Emma Watson will give the film a different feel, but she’s undoubtedly a worthy replacement, in what sounds like promising material.

Emily rumoured for Ms. Marvel role

The Avengers sequel will reportedly feature the character Ms. Marvel, with Emily Blunt and Ruth Wilson currently competing for the role.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Emily Blunt and Ruth Wilson are in contention for the role of Ms. Marvel in Avengers 2 and that the role is being sought after by Hollywood’s hottest actresses. Emily Blunt can been seen in the hit thriller Looper with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis, while Ruth Wilson will be starring in The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, and Helena Bonham Carter. Blunt obviously has more film titles to her name, which gives her an edge, and considering Looper is hitting it big with both the box office and critics, it may be just what she needs to edge out the competition. “Looper”: The inside story

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! Since writer-director Rian Johnson and actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt first unveiled Looper at WonderCon last March, the filmmaker and his cast have carefully and pointedly kept a major feature of the time-warping sci-fi thriller under wraps. But now that audiences have had a chance to see Looper for themselves this weekend (click here for EW’s B+ review), many of the film’s key players are finally willing to talk about this top secret element for the first time — and using words like “spooky,” “brilliant,” and “extraordinary” to do it.

2012 TIFF – “Looper” City News Interview

On TIFF’s very first day, City News sat down with Emily Blunt to discuss the festival opener Looper.

The mind-bending film forays into the future; time travel has been invented but is illegal and only used by criminal organizations. ‘Loopers’ are hired guns tasked with wiping out mob targets who have been sent back in time, never to be seen in the future again. But problems arise when ‘Looper’ Joe [Gordon-Levitt] fails to kill his future self [Willis]. Blunt plays Sara, a single mom from Kansas with a heavy past who gets caught up in Joe’s complicated conundrum.
